PREVIEW: Lakehawk Track & Field to Compete in PURE Athletics Spring Invitational
CLERMONT, Fla. (Track & Field) – The Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) Track & Field teams are set to compete in the PURE Athletics Spring Invitational on Saturday, Apr. 26. The meet will be hosted at the team's home training facility, the Orlando Health – National Training Center Track & Field Complex.
22 Lakehawks, 11 from the men's team and 11 from the women's team, will be competing in their respective events. 13 Lakehawks are set to compete in two or more events.

Lake-Sumter will appear in the following events:
2:00 p.m. – Pole Vault
4:00 p.m. – Long Jump

At this time, three Lakehawks and the 4x800m relay team have qualified for the 2025 NJCAA Track & Field Championships in May; Fyffe in the Long Jump, Wells in the 400M Hurdles, and Smith in the 400M Hurdles.
With three regular season events left, the Lakehawks are still pushing to hit more qualifying marks to secure their first trip to the national championship meet.
