Bouwma in Concludes 2026 Campaign in Tuscaloosa
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (Women's Golf) – Wies Bouwma completed round 1 at the 2026 National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA) Division II Women's Golf Championship hosted Ol' Colony Golf Complex in Tuscaloosa, Ala. on Tuesday afternoon. She currently sits in 67th after the first 18 holes of the championship.
Round 1 Results
Bouwma is off to a rough start in Tuscaloosa after shooting a nine to start the round on hole 10. After the first hole, she bogeyed holes 11-15 followed by a pair of pars on 16 and 17 to settle into championship play.
With three rounds to play, Bouwma has potential to move up in standings with the next 12 opponents only within three strokes of her score.
Bouwma will tee off Wednesday morning at 10:48 a.m. ET on hole 1 with Andi Kate Ramey (Northeast Mississippi Community College) and Lexi Tuinstra (South Mountain Community College).
Round 2 Results
Due to unforseen circumstances, Bouwma withdrew from play for the remainder of the tournament.
In the program's first season, Bouwma greatly contributed to putting the Lakehawks on the map in Division II women's golf. For the majority of the season, she ranked 13th individually with one top-two finish and one low medalist performance.
