Lakehawk Golf’s Bouwma Takes Second at Florida Gateway Invitational
LAKE CITY, Fla. (Women's Golf) – The Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) women's golf team wrapped up the Florida Gateway Spring Invitational with a strong showing in the final round of the tournament.
Wies Bouwma led the team, carding a 76 (+5) in the final round to secure a second place overall finish. Her consistency and composure throughout the tournament kept her name near the top of the leaderboard and highlighted her continued growth as the team's top performer.
Bouwma now ranks No. 13 all women's golfer within NJCAA Division II.
Annabelle Roy contributed a determined effort with a 97 in the closing round, while Johanna Hanneken rounded out the Lakehawks lineup with a 109. Both recorded their lowest score of the season.
The Lakehawks return to the competition at the Pioneer Invitational in Gaffney, S.C. on Feb. 26, 2026.
