Lakehawk Softball’s Goodwin Named Player of the Week
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Softball) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) announced the weekly awards for on Tuesday for the week of Mar. 2-8. Lakehawk Softball's Baylie Goodwin was named the FCSAA DII Softball Player of the Week for her performance last week.
In five games last week, Goodwin hit .500 with five runs scored, seven RBIs, and four stolen bases.
In Sun-Lakes Conference play against South Florida State College, she went 4-for-6 with a walk off single to help the team secure the win in the second game of the series.
For the season, Goodwin is hitting .393 with a .453 on-base percentage, and a .607 slugging percentage. In 27 games played, she has 33 hits with 25 RBIs.
At first base, she boasts a .988 fielding percentage with just two errors across 162 total chances.
Goodwin and the Lakehawks take the week to prepare for four non-conference games this week – Wednesday against Hawkeye Community College at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. and Lansing Community College at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
