PREVIEW: No. 15 Lakehawk Softball at South Florida State

AVON PARK, Fla. (Softball) – Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) softball continues Sun-Lakes Conference play on Saturday at South Florida State College (SFSC). The Lakehawks travel to Avon Park, Fla. for a double header at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.

After a pair off losses to St. Johns River State College on Thursday snapping their 24-game win streak, the Lakehawks look to start a new streak with the Panthers.

SFSC comes into the weekend with a 3-19 record in league play, ranking seventh in Sun-Lakes Conference standing. South Florida's three wins came against Florida Gateway and State College of Florida.

The Panthers and the Lakehawks last meeting was on March 7-8. Lake-Sumter took the series with three wins, 11-0, 8-3, and 4-1.

In conference standing, Lake-Sumter remains in second and, with just eight games left in the regular season, the Lakehawks have clinched a spot in the Region 8 Championship May 1-3.
