PREVIEW: Lakehawk Golf Set to Host Program’s First Tournament
CLERMONT, Fla. (Men's Golf) – The Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) men's golf team will host the 2026 Lakehawk Men's Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. This marks the first tournament hosted by the Lakehawks at the team's home course of Green Valley Country Club.
The tournament has eight teams in competition: USC Sumter, Enterprise State Community College, Shelton State Community College, Snead State Community College, University of Mobile (NAIA), Jefferson State Community College, Northeastern Technical College, and LSSC.
Teams will compete in two rounds, 18 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.
Tee times will begin 10 minutes apart on hole one with the Lakehawks' first gofler hitting the course at 9:40 a.m. Below are the Lakehawk pairings:
9:40 a.m. – Kasen Schlichenmaier, Justin Lovoy (Snead State), Declan Nusz (USC Sumter), Mason Jones (Jefferson State)
9:50 a.m. – Kylan Johnson, Sebastian Gonzalez, Vilgot Wiland (USC Sumter), Blanding Franks (USC Sumter)
10:00 a.m. – Tripp Watkins, Nate Williams, Axel Staahlgren (USC Sumter)
