PREVIEW: Lakehawk Baseball Enters FCSAA Championship at No. 1 Seed
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (Baseball) – The Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) Baseball team returns to the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) Division II Baseball Championship for the second consecutive year, this year as the top seed ahead of the tournament.
After a thrilling final series to the regular season and clinching the program's first Sun-Lakes Conference title, the Lakehawks turn to the postseason hoping for a chance to compete for a national title later in May in Enid, Oklahoma.
Lake-Sumter will open this year's FCSAA Championship on Thursday, Apr. 29 at 1:00 p.m. against the No. 4 seed Palm Beach State College. The winner of game one will advance to Friday to play the winner between No. 2 Pasco-Hernando and No. 3 St. Johns River State College at 1:00 p.m.
The championship game is set for Saturday, May 2 at 5:00 p.m.
