Lakehawk Baseball’s Johnson Named FCSAA Pitcher of the Week
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Baseball) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) announced the weekly awards Feb. 3, 2026. Sophomore Jack Johnson was named the FCSAA DII Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the first time in his career at Lake-Sumter.
Johnson recorded his first week of the season last weekend after getting the start against Hillsborough in the season opener. He pitched 5.2 scoreless innings allowing just five hits with six strikeouts in the 5-1 victory.
So far this season, Johnson has starts on the mound. In 10.2 innings pitched, he has struck out 15 while maintaining a 1.69 ERA.
Johnson and the Lakehawks have three home games later in the week. On Friday, they host Santa Fe at 1:00 p.m. then come back on Saturday for a double header against Polk State at 12:00 and 3:00 p.m.
