Lakehawk Beach Advances to Semifinal at FCSAA Championship

LEESBURG, Fla. (Beach Volleyball) – Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) Beach Volleyball opened the 2026 FCSAA Beach Volleyball Championship with a win and a loss. The Lakehawks defeated St. Johns River State College (SJRSC) 3-2 before a 4-1 loss to top-seeded Palm Beach State College (PBSC).

Pair 1 – Aviles and Peixoto (SJR) def. Audrey Pickle and Ellison Saunders (LS), 21-15, 21-17

Pair 2 – Teel and Stolztfus (SJR) def. Sophia Cooper and Jenna Walker (LS), 17-21, 21-18, 15-10

Pair 3 – Brooke Walker and Mariana Comartin (LS) def. Peters and Reyes (SJR), 10-21, 21-16, 15-9

Pair 4 – Rylinn Farkus and Moira Mangum (LS) def. Horn and York (SJR), 21-17, 10-21, 15-13

Pair 5 – Brooke Fintak and Emma Grace Blevins (LS) def. Goodyear and Collins (SJR), 20-22, 21-10, 15-6

Pair 1 – A. Pickle and Saunders (LS) def. Acedo and Streli (PB), 22-24, 21-7, 15-13

Pair 2 – Sumich and Bratziate (PB) def. Cooper and J. Walker (LS), 21-10, 21-15

Pair 3 – C. Villegas and L. Villegas (PB) def. B. Walker and Comartin (LS), 21-13, 21-18

Pair 4 – Vanloo and Kucinskaite (PB) def. Farkus and Mangum (LS), 21-17, 21-11

Pair 5 – Hannagan and Roche (PB) def. Fintake and Blevins (LS), 21-18, 21-11

The Lakehawks advance to Championship Saturday where they will play State College of Florida at 10:00 a.m. The winner will advance to play Palm Beach State for the 2026 FCSAA Beach Volleyball title.
