Lakehawk Beach Splits Opening Trimatch

LEESBURG, FLA. (Beach Volleyball) – The Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) Beach Volleyball team opened the 2026 season at home against Sun-Lakes Conference opponents, Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) and three-time national champion Palm Beach State College (PBSC). The Lakehawks took match one over FSCJ 5-0 and lost to PBSC 5-0.

Lake-Sumter is now 1-1 on the season and 1-1 in conference play.

The Lakehawks will be back in the sand at home next weekend on Saturday, Feb. 14 for a trimatch against Webber International University (NAIA) and Barry University (NCAA DII). Match times are set for 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at Lake Jem Farms Beach Court Complex.
