Four Lakehawks Named All-FCSAA/All-Region 8 Beach Volleyball
BRADENTON, Fla. (Beach Volleyball) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) announced the 2025 All-FCSAA Awards at the 2025 FCSAA/NJCAA Region 8 Beach Volleyball Championship. Four Lakehawks were recognized.
Braelyn Mittauer, First Team All-FCSAA/All-Region 8
"Braelyn is truly a standout Lakehawk. In her time at Lake-Sumter, she has become an all-American and recieved all-conference first team honors. Braelyn plays the game with a calm confidence that demands respect. It has been a pleasure getting to coach her," said head coach Neal Stanley.
Mariana Comartin and Brooke Walker, All-FCSAA/All-Region 8 Pair Team
"One of the most rewarding things as a beach volleyball coach is getting to see a pair of good players becoming great when placed together; this is the case with Comartin and Walker. Both players settled in as a pair and began to trust each other. It has been nothing but high level volleyball ever since," said Coach Stanley.
Audrey Pickle, Second Team All-FCSAA/All-Region 8
"Audrey has become a dominant force on the court. She is a huge presence at the net and very consistent with her sideout game. I am excited to have another year to watch her take over the game," said Coach Stanley.
The Lakehawks took third at the 2025 Region 8 Championship and now await to find out if they will receive an at-large bid to the 2025 NJCAA Beach Volleyball Championships from May 1-3. The selection show is set for Wednesday, April 23 at 3:00 p.m. and will stream on the NJCAA Network.
