PREVIEW: 2025 NJCAA DII Golf Southeast District Championship

BRISTOL, Tenn. (Men's Golf) – The Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) men's golf team are set to compete in the 2025 NJCAA DII Southeast District Championship on April 28-29, hosted at the Country Club of Bristol. This marks the young program's first appearance in championship competition.

Teams will play three rounds across two days of competition. On Monday, rounds one and two will be played consecutive. Tuesday will be the final round to crown a champion.

11 teams will be competing for a trip to the national championship later in May. The top-three teams as well as individuals who finish within the top-25% will earn a bid to the tournament. 

The field of teams include: Cleveland State Community College, Anne Arundel Community College, Hagerstown Community College, Patrick & Henry Community College, Pellissippi State Community College, Carroll Community College, Southwest Virginia Community College, Roane State Community College, College of Southern Maryland, Walters State Community College, and Lake-Sumter.

At this time, tee times are set for 8:30 a.m. across the board. Below are the Lakehawk pairings:

Hole 6 – Tripp Watkins, K. Campbell (Pellissippi State), T. Brophy (Anne Arundel CC) 

Hole 7 – Kasen Schlichenmaier, G. Shipley (Pellissippi State), M. Crawmer (Anne Arundel CC)

Hole 8 – Nate Williams, N. Whitten (Pellissippi State), W. Maddow (Anne Arundel CC)

Hole 9 – Kylan Johnson, E. Backus (Pellissippi State), E. Sarrach (Anne Arundel CC)

Hole 10 – Bradley Parker, N. Pierce (Pellissippi State), D. Hoffman (Anne Arundel CC)
