PREVIEW: Lakehawks to Compete at Spring Skyhawk Classic

NEWNAN, Ga. (Men's Golf) – The Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) men's golf team will open the spring golf season Monday afternoon at the Spring Skyhawk Classic hosted at Newnan Country Club. The tournament will consist of two rounds, 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.  

Point University is hosting the nine-team tournament, the field consisting of four NAIA and three NJCAA squads. The field of teams include: SCAD Atlanta (NAIA), Talladega College (NAIA), Southeastern University (NAIA), Point University (NAIA), Vincennes University (NJCAA), Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (NJCAA), Webber International University (NAIA), Faulkner University (NAIA), and Lake-Sumter (NJCAA).

At this time, tee times are set for 8:30 a.m. across the board. Below are the Lakehawk pairings:

Hole 12 – Tripp Watkins, Damil Ataullah (Talladega College), Brock Naile (Vincennes University)

Hole 13 – Kylan Johnson, Sawyer Edwards (Talladega College), Kadin Gibson (Vincennes University)

Hole 14 – Nate Williams, Nick Ledbetter (Talladega College), Alex Nealis (Vincennes University)

Hole 15 – Kasen Schlichenmaier, Wesley Jenkins (Talladega College), Landon Gardner (Vincennes University)

Hole 16 – Bradley Parker, Julio Roman (Talladega College), Matthew Mills (Vincennes University)
